*. They're like spring rolls. Just made of corn, and filled with steak bits, and smothered in guacamole. This makes them 100% better than spring rolls. Los Jarritos, the family restaurant about two blocks away, sells awesome flautas, and they were the first place I tried them at. Well, they're the only place I've tried them at, which is bad enough, since I now get cravings for their flautas at three in the morning and slightly after noon, and sometimes when I first wake up and after work at about five. I've heard about the burritos of San Francisco, and thanks to
scanner_darkly, have now had many opportunities to try them, but these flautas are awesome.
And tasty.
Me and the fluffy cat have now decided we should have them for dinner, and we're dragging the Trusty Guide along with us.

Cabbit would like to point out that flautas are more often called taquitos.

(it wasn't anything big or uber-special, but I'd like to know that the mail I send out doesn't get lost.)
It's funny, but I really did have sushi for my birthday, as the cute yet serene card portrays! It's perfect.
Next time you talk to teh Cabbit tell him he's wroooong. Taquitos!=Flautas
"Flautas, a variation, are commonly made using wheat flour tortillas, but the name, taquito, is applied to both types".
Do feel free to take it up with Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flauta redirects to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taquito).
I do feel badly misrepresented though. I never claimed to be correcting the world (on this topic). I merely stated that I'd never herd of flautas, but what Ms Hampyre was describing sounded a lot like Taquitos.
Also, yes, I agree, I do need to herd flautas. Herding flautas may allow me the chance for snacking...
