Package from Abroad

Got my package from neuromance, who is so very, very cool for trampling around Tokyo in search of hamsters on my behalf. It was really sweet to get bonus chocolates under the wrapper, it just was. :)

Also got five volumes of the Hamster Research Report, the singular most important literature ever written about hamsters, their lifestyle in captivity and the running around in circles of their designated humans. I'll be grinning like an idiot for weeks.

And, and! A collection of short topical essays by Yoshii Kazuya (The Yellow Monkey) written between 1992-1996. He talks about his personal life and being on the road with the band, including, as I flipped through, something about BOØWY (I know some of those who're reading this like them -- and would be better placed to say something about this subject). There's also a two-page spread of Yoshii-san in the LSB Tour shirt (The Yellow Monkey, L'Arc~en~Ciel, Dies in Cries and Mad Capsule Markets played on that tour along with Luna Sea, Soft Ballet and Buck-Tick).

Much grinness. Much Japanese learning to absorb! I shall have to use these reading materials as stimulus to study harder.

I'm so bad when it comes to practicing Japanese, even when I was getting tutored. >_<

I'm trying to force myself to develop a proper habit about practicing. So far though, I'm better at doing that for writing kanji than for working on whole sentences. *the sad*

I'm just plain lazy. Not even reading BT lyrics can rouse me. I'm only good about my cello.

Is the book named "osenchi nikki" or something? =D
I wanted to translate something from that book, but while I can translate lyrics (because they have shorter sentences) I'm in trouble when I have to translate a normal speech (=_=)
I hope Yoshiiさん talks about his charachter Mary too. I love Mary (^^)

Yup. The title is "Yoshii Kazuya no Maru* Hiso** Senchi Nikki". Um, what would that translate into? "Yoshii Kazuya's Secret Journal of Letters"?

* Maru -- in katakana, I think it's "Mail", since it's probably not "Male"
** Hiso as in hisoka (secret), but it's just hiso(u), then that could also be tragic...

I want to translate something from that book as well, because I will need to translate it to actually read it. That's the challenge, for me. ^_^
