Not Everything Went Mopey

Props to diorling! Spiderwords just bought four poems for their Jan 31 issue: Summer, The Stalker Monologues, Black Wedding, Red Funeral and The Distance That She Is. Rainy also said something about me being in the same issue as Neil Gaiman, but my brain went kaput shortly after finding out my poems sold, so I'm still recovering from t3h joi! If you do have a yen for darkly scratchy poetry, go forth and read this 'zine because it's really, really keen and Rain edits it so it's guaranteed.

Oh, man. Now I have to update my website, or something.

In other news, I have a part-time gig writing TOEIC sample questions for a Japanese company. The work intrigues me, and I actually find the writing format has interesting possibilities. It's not really fiction, but it's an interesting way to think about teaching business communciation. And it is interesting to come up with questions I hope will challenge students as well as provide them with something practical to go on. Definitely a good brain-chomper, at any rate.
