Time to Take Over the World!

Today, I got the coolest rejection letter I've ever gotten from a magazine. It included terms like, "Greedy little piggy!", twice. And I deserved every one. :)

In masochistically-related news, I printed out the first two parts to the collected Finches for my mother. She knows it's unfinished, and I told her it didn't matter, but I am proud of the story. If there's any story of mine I'd like my parents to read, it's this. Of course, Mom already thinks I'm something of a weirdo, thanks to Mudfish Goddess, reinforced by reviews of that story that went along the lines of, "This stuff has indecipherable intentions!" Not to mention, she wants me to draw out the Arak'Rai plushie mudfish of doom so she can figure out what she was supposed to look like. When I am a rich and famous author, there will be limited edition Mudfish Goddess with full-cotton plushies, because every girl really doesn't need a pony.

I clearly need to suffer more for my art, for lo, it's time again for the Chizine Contest. Also have to deliver help documentation tomorrow, which just reeks.

re: chizine
I like how Neil Gaiman is the tie breaking judge - I'm sure meaning "we're not allowed to bother him unless absolutely necessary and we must harvest some devil tomatoes for him or something in addition to promising our first born children as payment". ;-)

Re: chizine
*LOL* I think he was also the tie-breaking judge last year. ;)
I know what I want to write for the contest this year now. ;P
